School Rules

It was only high school after all, definitely one of the most bizarre periods in a person’s life. How anyone can come through that time well adjusted on any level is an absolute miracle.

Fee Rules

Norms For Remittance of Fees

  • Those who are paying monthly fee for Computer and Lab to be paid in 2 instalments (June and October) and Special Fee to be paid in 3 instalments (June, October & January).
  • The Special Fee includes cost of Students’ Diary, Report Card, Identity Card and School Magazine. There will be no separate collection for the same as well as for conduct of various tests which include printing, providing answer paper etc.

Instructions

  • Fees are payable on or before 10th of every month as per schedule. After 10th (till the close of the month) Fee will have to be deposited along with late Fee of Re. 1/- per day (including holidays). If 10th is a holiday, Fee will be collected without fine on the next working day.
  • Failure to pay the fees by the close of the month will result in the removal of the Student from the Rolls of the School without intimation and will entail re-admission fee of Rs. 100/-
  • Canara Bank, Nadathara Branch will operate at BVBVM premises at Poochatty till the tenth of every month.
  • Parents will keep the Fee receipt with them and produce it whenever required by the School.
  • Parents have the option to deposit fees for a whole term or the whole year in advance.
  • The Name, Class and Section of the Student must clearly be written on the Bank slip.
  • In case of doubt regarding the payment of dues, parents will kindly deal directly with the School office between 9.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. on all working days.
  • Students of Std. X and XII should remit the fees for February and March latest by 31st January.
  • Bus fee to be remitted for a term.

Recommendation to Parents

  • Parents are expected to co-operate with the School authorities at all times, in maintaining highest standards in academic and co-curricular activities.
  • Parents are expected to co-operate with the School in maintaining decorum and dignity of the Institution.
  • Parents are also advised to meet the teachers at least once in a month to enquire about their ward’s progress in class.
  • Parents must go through the contents of this Diary carefully to acquaint themselves with the norms of the Bhavan.
  • Students should never use uncouth/foul language in School.
  • Good table manners must be observed during lunch time. Non-vegetarian food is a strict taboo in School. We expect parents to take special note of this.
  • No electronic gadgets are permitted. This may result in suspension of the student.
  • Parents are requested not to enter any Classroom during School hours.
  • Parents’ request letter to be submitted to the Class teacher for being exempted from attending the assembly or not coming to the School in full uniform.
  • Any change in residence or telephone number should be immediately notified to the Class teacher and School Office.
  • All leave applications must compulsorily be signed by the parent.

General Rules

  • The School uniform is compulsory for all Students. Clean shoes and socks are a must.
  • We insist that students come to School bathed and neatly dressed in well-laundered, ironed uniforms.
  • All boys must wear white vests and girls a white slip, under their uniform.
  • Nails should be neatly trimmed and will be checked every Monday morning by the Class teacher. Boys should have their hair-cut every month. They are not permitted to grow a beard/side burns etc.
  • Boys shall not wear their pants below the waist-level.
  • All lunch/snack boxes must be accompanied with a clean napkin.
  • Black sandak sandals are permitted as rainy-day foot wear.
  • Girls must secure their hair with black hair-slides/hair band (for short hair). Long hair must be neatly plaited in two and secured with black (half a metre in length) ribbons.

Light blue shirt with collar... Navy blue pleated skirt... navy blue half overcoat.

Navy blue salwar and half coat. Light blue kameez.

Specifications

  • Length

    3 inches below the knee, 6 inch slit on sides, pocket on right.

  • Sleeve Length

    Plain loose sleeves not less than 1 inch above elbow.

  • Ribbon

    Black, half a meter each.

  • Shoes

    Black buckle shoes and navy blue socks.

Important Notes:

  • Uniform is compulsory for all the students.
  • Full uniform mandatory on all events and school days.
